About Me

My most recent journey started on the other side of the operating room doors...

I have seen those double doors open and close numerous times, but this time I was exhausted and longed to leave through them. I worked for several years as a master licensed massage therapist, cosmetologist/aesthetician, spa manager, and educator for one of the world's largest fitness companies, where fitness and wellness were at the center of my values and mission. There was a spirit of kindness, gratitude, motivation, and excitement on the part of clients as they took part in their health journey. Following graduation from nursing school, I was shocked to discover that the hospital system was entirely the opposite; I was exposed to an oppressive healthcare environment; understaffed, underpaid, and under-treated, and healthcare workers striving to help others at the expense of their own health and well-being. There is an extreme increase in patients presenting to the emergency room and operating room, some of whose conditions are potentially preventable. I had no idea at the time that this experience would catalyze my future educational and career endeavors. This led me to realize that my approach needed to be revised. My ability to become more aware of my patients' illnesses and approach patient care more proactively is essential. The importance of assisting individuals in taking care of themselves prior to reactive healthcare and surgery cannot be overstated.

Finding light in the darkness…

During the time of my struggle, I was unaware that it would become the catalyst for my own entrepreneurial pursuits. As I continue to observe the fragility of life on a daily basis in the ER/OR, it has become increasingly evident that making the most of the time we have to do what we love is a priceless commodity. Sickness and burnout are costly in terms of time, energy, and resources, and they hinder our ability to contribute to society. The importance of having a plan for caring for oneself cannot be overstated. Amid life and work demands, it is easy to feel overwhelmed, but health and well-being should not be put off.

I am here to assist you in integrating wellness into your daily life…

It is a privilege to live at a time in history when we are able to thrive, live well, and improve the world around us. As a licensed massage therapist, registered nurse, and cosmetologist/aesthetician, I am committed to using my expertise and divine gifts to empower others to take charge of their own health. Through coordinated care, I help clients achieve a higher level of fitness, wellness, and living by working with both clients and their trainers. By combining manual therapy with movement and regeneration techniques, I strive to create a new hybrid of whole-body care and performance that goes beyond the totality of its components: release, rebuild, and retrain. In my professional and educational endeavors, I aim to combine my east/west experiences to uncover the root causes of aging issues, address them now, and prevent them from occurring in the future. My goal is to provide my patients with an opportunity to be active participants in their health care, with a strong emphasis on preventative care, treatment, and reversal of chronic diseases. I will assist them in achieving optimal health and well-being by eliminating the causal factors that lead to illnesses and changing behavior so that the body can heal itself through optimal nutrition, stress management, and physical fitness.
